When will Legado by Prescott be handed over?

Prescott set Q4 2027 as the handover date for Legado when it launched the tower at an event at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC on 9 September 2024. Its payment plans still show the final payment due on handover in Q4 2027. The DLD register, which lists the project as Legado By Prescott in JVC District 14, gives an earlier completion date of 31 August 2027 (DLD project register via Continental Club, registry updated 5 October 2026). Property Finder shows August 2027.

The tower was 23.31% complete at the DLD inspection on 30 September 2026, with 11 months to go to the registered date.

Legado by Prescott construction update

The DLD register records construction starting on 1 September 2024. Progress was 20.13% at the inspection on 2 July 2026 and 23.31% on 30 September 2026, a gain of 3.18 points in three months (Continental Club). That is about 1 point a month. Buyer payments go into an escrow account at United Bank Limited, under DLD project number 3210.

Legado by Prescott homes and sizes

Legado is a 34 storey tower with 343 apartments, including studios, 1 to 3 bedroom apartments and sky villas, offered furnished or unfurnished (Prescott). The DLD register gives this mix:

Sizes are from the DLD register via Continental Club, excluding the smallest and largest 5% of each type. Prescott says the amenities, more than 30 of them, are spread across three floors.

Legado by Prescott prices and resale

At launch, studios started from AED 650,000 and 1 bedrooms from AED 870,000 (Prescott, September 2024). Property Finder showed a starting price of AED 1.89 million in October 2026.

The DLD register held 347 sales by early October 2026, with about 1% resales. Median prices paid are:

• Studio: AED 727,000 (149 sales)
• 1 bedroom: AED 1,102,000 (153 sales)
• 2 bedroom: AED 1,887,000 (21 sales)
• 3 bedroom: AED 2,074,000 (22 sales)

The building median is about AED 1,659 per sq ft. Continental Club records prices up about 8% over the past year, against about 2% for the district. Recent sales include a studio at AED 766,000 on 16 September 2026 and a 2 bedroom at AED 1,724,800 on 23 September 2026.

Legado by Prescott payment plan

Prescott’s factsheet shows two plans:

• Standard 60/40, all unit types: 20% on booking, then 10% in January 2025 and 5% each in June 2025, October 2025, February 2026, June 2026, October 2026 and February 2027, with 40% on handover in Q4 2027.
• Post-handover 60/10/30, 1 to 3 bedrooms: the same construction instalments, then 10% on handover and 30% over three years after handover, at 2.5% a quarter.

Property Finder lists a third option starting at 30% on booking. The construction instalments are tied to calendar dates, so they fall due whatever the progress on site.

Legado by Prescott developer and delivery record

Prescott Development, registered with the DLD as Prescott Real Estate Development, launched Legado after Fairway Residences. Its own site lists completed projects including Prime Residency I, II and 3, Prime Views, Prime Gardens, Prime Villas and Prime Townhouses. It is building several towers at once, including Verano by Prescott, which was 41.07% complete on 29 September 2026, and The Caden by Prescott in Meydan Horizon.

What to check before buying at Legado by Prescott

1. Which date the SPA states. The register says 31 August 2027 and Prescott says Q4 2027.
2. How much has been paid on a resale unit. By October 2026, all but the February 2027 construction instalment had fallen due on the standard plan.
3. The plan on the unit. On the post-handover plan, payments run about three years past handover.
4. The furnished or unfurnished specification stated in the SPA, since both versions were sold.
