The Dubai Land Department (DLD) register gives Legado by Prescott a completion date of 31 August 2027. Prescott has given Q4 2027 since the launch on 9 September 2024, and its payment plans show the handover payment due in Q4 2027. Full project details are on the Legado by Prescott page.

The latest DLD inspection, on 30 September 2026, recorded the tower 23.31% complete. Between 2 July and 30 September 2026 progress rose by 3.18 points, about 1 point a month. Finishing by Q4 2027 would need a much faster pace from here.

How the Legado by Prescott handover date has changed

The developer date has not changed. The registered date of 31 August 2027 sits one to four months before Prescott’s Q4 2027. About 77% of the work remained at the end of September 2026.

What the Legado by Prescott handover date means for payments

Construction instalments on Legado are fixed to calendar dates, not to progress. On the standard plan, buyers pay 20% on booking and 40% in seven instalments from January 2025 to February 2027, so 60% is paid before handover even if the tower is late. The remaining 40% is due on handover. On the post-handover plan, 10% is due on handover and 30% over three years after, at 2.5% a quarter (Prescott factsheet). A later handover moves only the handover and post-handover payments.

What to check before relying on the Legado by Prescott date

1. The completion date and grace period in the SPA, given the gap between 31 August 2027 and Q4 2027.
2. The calendar instalments. The February 2027 payment falls due whatever stage the tower has reached.
3. The start of post-handover instalments. On the 60/10/30 plan, the three year schedule begins at handover, so a later handover also pushes back the final payment.
4. The next DLD inspection. At about 1 point a month, the tower would be well short of complete by late 2027; a faster figure on the next inspection would change that.
