Dubai Maritime City is a DP World development on a peninsula between Port Rashid and Dubai Dry Docks, close to Bur Dubai. It covers about 249 hectares and mixes industrial, commercial and residential precincts, including a Harbour Residences district, a Maritime Centre and an Academic Quarter. The site has been under development for more than a decade, with infrastructure works continuing well past its original targets.

Who is the developer and what is its record?
DP World, the Dubai government owned ports and logistics group, is the master developer behind Dubai Maritime City. It sets out the district’s infrastructure and precincts, but does not build the residential towers itself.
