MAG 777 handover date: the latest position

MAG 777’s registered completion date, 15 January 2026, has passed. The DLD register still lists the Dubai Sports City tower as active, and its latest inspection, on 30 July 2026, recorded it 67.37% complete. More on prices, sizes and payment plans is on the MAG 777 project page.

Portals now show Q3 2026, but MAG has not published a revised date and the register has not been updated. Daily snapshots of the register on Dubai Handover show the figure unchanged at 67.4% through 8 October 2026, meaning no newer inspection had been recorded by then.

MAG 777 handover date by building

MAG 777 is a single 22 storey building with 266 units.

Building Construction progress (DLD, date) Registered completion date Developer or portal date
MAG 777 (DLD project 3193) 67.37%, 30 Jul 2026 15 Jan 2026 (passed) End of 2025 at launch; Q3 2026 on portals

The DLD register also lists a second MAG project, Mag 888, but that is a separate project in Downtown Dubai (DLD project 3542) with a planned completion of 31 March 2028. Freehold Solutions reports it as listed cancelled in the register. It is not a phase of MAG 777.

How the MAG 777 handover date has changed

  • 4 October 2024: Project registered with DLD, completion date 15 January 2026.
  • 8 October 2024: Launch. MAG says the tower is already 60% complete and will be ready by the end of 2025 (Middle East Construction News).
  • 1 November 2024: Registered construction start.
  • 15 January 2026: Registered completion date passes.
  • 2 April 2026: DLD inspection at 58.74%.
  • 30 July 2026: DLD inspection at 67.37%.
  • October 2026: Portals list Q3 2026; no revised date from MAG.

The launch claim of 60% complete and the DLD figure of 58.74% in April 2026 do not match. At the April to July 2026 pace of about 2.2 points a month, the remaining 33 points would take about 15 months, which would put completion in late 2027.

Sales have continued after the registered date passed. Studios registered at AED 778,560 and AED 813,200 on 21 September 2026, and Continental Club counts only one resale among 144 sales since 2024, so most buyers are still waiting on their first handover date.

What the MAG 777 handover date means for payments

Most of the price is due on handover. Continental Club lists 20% down payment, 10% during construction and 70% on handover; fäm Properties lists 20%, 30% and 50% on handover. On a studio at the median registered price of AED 786,780, that is between about AED 393,000 and AED 551,000 due at handover. The delay leaves that sum unpaid for longer rather than changing it.

What to check before relying on the MAG 777 date

  1. The completion date and any grace period in the SPA, since the January 2026 registered date is now about nine months past.
  2. Any amended SPA or notice from MAG setting a new completion date.
  3. The next DLD inspection for project 3193. None had been recorded after 30 July 2026 as of 8 October 2026.
