When is the Samana Skyros handover date?
Short answer
The Samana Skyros handover date on the Dubai Land Department (DLD) register is 30 April 2026, and Samana's own target was Q2 2026, with June 2026 given at launch. That date has passed without a handover. The DLD inspection of 29 September 2026 put the building at 71.34% complete, up from 60.34% in June and 50.10% in February 2026, and the register still showed 30 April 2026 as the completion date. Samana has not published a revised date, so the date in each buyer's SPA and its grace period are what apply.

Samana Skyros handover date: the latest position
Samana Skyros was due for completion on 30 April 2026, the registered completion date the Dubai Land Department holds for the building. Samana’s target was Q2 2026, and its launch announcement in June 2023 gave June 2026. All of these dates have passed, and the DLD inspection of 29 September 2026 recorded the building 71.34% complete. Prices and the building itself are covered on the Samana Skyros page.
The registered completion date had not been updated by late September 2026. The register still showed 30 April 2026 and a status of under construction on 23 September 2026, and a new DLD inspection on 29 September 2026 recorded 71.34% complete. Samana has not published a revised date. Some listing sites mark the building as handed over because the registered date has passed, which the DLD record does not support.

What the Samana Skyros handover date means for payments
Samana launched Skyros with what it called a five year payment plan, starting in June 2023 and running past the June 2026 handover it promised at the time, so part of the price was set to fall due after handover (CBNME, 20 June 2023). Continental Club lists a different split of 15% down and 85% during construction. Samana does not publish the current schedule on its project page, which marks the building sold out. For buyers whose instalments are tied to handover, a later handover moves those payments later too.
What to check before relying on the Samana Skyros date
- The completion date and grace period in your SPA. With 30 April 2026 passed, the grace period sets how much more time the contract allows before the delay counts against the developer.
- Whether any of your instalments are linked to handover, under the five year plan described at launch.
- The latest DLD inspection for project 2608, through DLD’s project status enquiry service, since the 29 September 2026 figure is the latest republished.
- Written confirmation of a revised date from Samana, since none has been published.
