When is the District One West handover date?
Short answer
District One West Phase 1 is listed for completion on 3 March 2027 by Property Finder, and Propsearch estimates June 2027; the DLD register data holds no completion date for it. Phase 2 has a registered completion date of 19 November 2027, while Meydan's main contract for it, awarded in January 2025, runs to Q1 2028. District One West handover date: the latest position
District One West will not hand over in one go. Phase 1 is listed for completion on 3 March 2027 by Property Finder, with Propsearch estimating June 2027, and was 92.56% built at the DLD inspection on 28 September 2026, up from 82.5% on 25 June. Phase 2 has a registered completion date of 19 November 2027 and was 40.9% built on 14 July 2026. Prices, sizes and the payment plan are on the District One West page.
For Phase 2, Meydan’s own date is later than the register. When it awarded the main contract to Ginco General Contracting on 20 January 2025, it said the phase was scheduled for completion in Q1 2028.

The DLD register holds the two phases as separate projects, both filed by Meydan Group, while Nakheel markets them and publishes the construction updates.

Nakheel’s internal inspection on 11 June 2026 gave 83.37% for Phase 1, with superstructure at 98.9%, building work at 77.1%, MEP at 72.4% and infrastructure at 69.4%. For Phase 2 it gave 34.49%, with superstructure at 51.31%. The DLD inspections that followed put Phase 1 at 82.5% on 25 June and 92.56% on 28 September 2026, and Phase 2 at 40.9% on 14 July.

Neither phase has had a revised date announced. Propsearch’s June 2027 estimate for Phase 1 is three months later than Property Finder’s March 2027 date.
What the District One West handover date means for payments
The plan is 20% at booking, 60% during construction and 20% at handover (Property Finder). On a villa at the lowest listed price of AED 12.5 million, the handover payment is AED 2.5 million. Phase 1 buyers are likely to face that payment during 2027. For Phase 2, the difference between the 19 November 2027 registered date and the Q1 2028 contract date could move it by a few months.
What to check before relying on the District One West date
- Which phase the villa is in. HomeSearch lists Phase 1 villas under DLD project 2696 and Phase 2 under 3200; resale paperwork shows which applies.
- The completion date in the SPA for Phase 1. The register data shows no completion date for Phase 1, so the SPA date and its grace period are the only contractual reference.
- For Phase 2, the SPA date against Q1 2028. The contract date is a few months after the 19 November 2027 registered date.
- The developer entity on the SPA. The register names Meydan Group, while Nakheel markets the project and reports progress.

No. The DLD inspection on 28 September 2026 put Phase 1 at 92.56%, and the inspection on 14 July 2026 put Phase 2 at 40.9%. Nakheel's July 2026 update said Phase 1 was in interior works, exterior finishes and infrastructure, while more Phase 2 villas were still rising.
