DAMAC Seacrest handover date: the latest position

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) register gives a completion date of 31 December 2029 for DAMAC Seacrest, the project now sold as Chelsea Residences by DAMAC in Dubai Maritime City. DAMAC has given December 2029 since the launch in 2025. Prices, sizes and the full payment plan are on the DAMAC Seacrest page.

Construction is at an early stage. The latest DLD inspection, on 7 August 2026, put the project at 5.19% complete, a little over a year after its registered start on 19 July 2025 (Mitchells, DLD data). To meet the registered date, the remaining 94.81 points would need to be built in about 40 months.

DAMAC Seacrest handover date by building

The DLD registers the three Seacrest towers as one project with 703 homes, so its inspection figure covers all three. Propsearch names them Chelsea 1 Towers A, B and C. DLD sales records show 93 sales in Tower A, 105 in Tower B and 20 in Tower C by September 2026 (Mitchells). DAMAC released the sixth and final Chelsea Residences tower in July 2026 from AED 2.56 million, and reports put its handover at June 2030, six months after the Seacrest towers.

How the DAMAC Seacrest handover date has changed

• April 2025: Seacrest went on sale. Property Finder records the start on 28 April 2025, and the launch price sheet gave completion in December 2029 (InvestInDXB, 4 May 2025).
• 7 May 2025: DAMAC relaunched the site as Chelsea Residences, six towers with over 1,400 homes, and kept December 2029 for the first towers (DAMAC).
• 19 July 2025: The DLD register records the start of the project, with a completion date of 31 December 2029.
• 16 to 17 July 2026: DAMAC released the final tower, with a June 2030 handover (Gulf News; The Dubai Atlas).
• 7 August 2026: DLD inspection at 5.19% complete. One broker page still lists Q4 2028, a year earlier than any DAMAC or DLD date.

No DAMAC project in Dubai Maritime City appeared among the projects recorded finished on the DLD register in October 2026 (Real Estate Club Dubai).

What the DAMAC Seacrest handover date means for payments

Seacrest launched on a 60/40 plan: 20% on booking, 40% during construction and 40% on handover. On a 1 bedroom at the AED 2,170,000 launch price, that leaves AED 868,000 due at handover, expected in December 2029 if the registered date holds. The construction share is paid in monthly instalments of 1%, so most of it is paid on dates rather than build stages. A delay therefore moves only the final 40% payment.

What to check before relying on the DAMAC Seacrest date

1. Which tower your unit is in. Tower C of the Seacrest project (Chelsea 1) and the final Chelsea Residences tower released in July 2026, also called Tower C, are listed with different dates.
2. The completion date and grace period in your SPA, against the registered 31 December 2029.
3. Your monthly instalment schedule. With 40 monthly instalments of 1%, a buyer who booked in 2025 pays 60% of the price well before December 2029, while the building was 5.19% complete in August 2026.
