The DLD register gives a registered completion date of 28 February 2028, about a year earlier than DAMAC’s sales date. Construction was 5.21% complete at the DLD inspection on 20 May 2026. DAMAC’s project page shows Q3 2029 in its banner and Q1 2029 on each unit listing (accessed 11 October 2026), so sources disagree even on the developer’s own page.

The DLD register holds Valencia as one project. Registered sales are split across Valencia Towers A, B, C and D: 158 in Tower B, 140 in Tower A, 126 in Tower D and 94 in Tower C in one count (Mitchells, sales to 23 September 2026). The register record of 15 June 2026 describes two towers, of 13 and 10 floors above a podium, and lists 527 homes, while Continental Club’s copy lists 1,558 units. No separate date has been published for any one tower.

• 5 November 2024: registered construction start on the DLD register, on a plot first planned for Lagoon Views 14, which was cancelled (Propsearch).
• 13 to 16 February 2026: DAMAC publishes its Valencia guide and sales open, with an anticipated completion date of 31 March 2029 on the payment sheet.
• 16 March 2026: the first sales are registered at DLD (Mitchells).
• 20 May 2026: DLD inspection records 5.21% complete. The registered completion date stays at 28 February 2028.
• 11 October 2026: DAMAC’s unit listings still show Q1 2029. The project page banner shows Q3 2029.

No revision to the Q1 2029 sales date has been announced since launch.

What the DAMAC Lagoons Valencia handover date means for payments

The plan is 5/55/40. Buyers pay 5% on booking, 10% within one month, then 5% every three months from month 3 to month 27. That puts 60% of the price in by about May 2028 for a February 2026 booking. The last 40% is due on completion. On a AED 1.30 million 1 bedroom, that is AED 520,000, so the date the developer calls completion decides when the largest single payment falls due. No post-handover plan has been published.

What to check before relying on the DAMAC Lagoons Valencia date

1. The completion date printed in the SPA, since the DLD register (28 February 2028) and DAMAC’s listings (Q1 2029) differ by a year.
2. Whether the SPA ties the 40% to completion or to a fixed date. A later completion moves the final payment, not the instalments due by month 27.
3. The tower letter for the unit. Sales run across Towers A to D, and the DLD record filed in June 2026 describes only two towers.
4. The next DLD inspection. At 5.21% in May 2026, the first inspections after launch will show whether a 2028 or 2029 finish is realistic.
