## When will The Wilds be handed over?

Aldar said at launch in February 2025 that The Wilds would be delivered in 2029, and broker pages now give Q2 2029. The Dubai Land Department (DLD) register files the villas as three projects under Aurora SPV 2, the Aldar and Dubai Holding joint venture company. Each has its own registered completion date:

- The Wilds 1: 31 January 2029
- The Wilds 2: 28 February 2029
- The Wilds 3: 31 May 2029

These dates come from the DLD register as republished by Continental Club in October 2026. Property Finder shows January 2029 and April 2029 on different pages, so portal dates do not all agree with the register. The date that applies to a villa depends on which of the three registrations it sits in.

## The Wilds construction update

All three villa phases were inspected by DLD on 14 September 2026:

- The Wilds 1 was 7.48% complete, up from 3.82% on 16 June 2026. Construction was registered to start on 28 February 2025.
- The Wilds 2 was 5.74% complete, up from 2.72% in June. It was registered to start on 28 April 2025.
- The Wilds 3 was 3.1% complete, up from 2.41% in June. It was registered to start on 28 July 2025.

At the September 2026 pace, the most advanced phase added under 4 percentage points in three months. Escrow accounts for all three are held at First Abu Dhabi Bank.

## The Wilds homes and sizes

Aldar announced The Wilds on 19 February 2025 as a community of almost 1,700 homes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, opposite Global Village and next to Al Barari. The DLD register places it in Majan, within Wadi Al Safa 3. The first phase was 3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas, sold in two collections, Cassia and Ravenna. Later releases added mansions designed by Nabil Gholam and the apartment buildings now sold as [The Wilds Residences](/projects/the-wilds-residences/).

The DLD register lists 941 units across the three villa projects:

Standard villas have 3 to 5 bedrooms over two floors. Premium villas have 4 or 5 bedrooms. Ultra luxury villas have 5 or 6 bedrooms over a basement and three floors (Continental Club, DLD register). Aldar's own count for the first phase was 734 villas, lower than the register total, which also includes the larger homes released later.

## The Wilds prices and resale

Villas launched from AED 5.1 million for a 3 bedroom (The National, 19 February 2025). Ravenna villas started from AED 9.5 million. The 734 first phase villas sold out within days for AED 5 billion (Aldar, 5 March 2025).

The DLD register records 902 sales across the three projects since 2025. Median prices in early October 2026 were about AED 1,538 per sq ft at The Wilds 1, AED 1,469 at The Wilds 2 and AED 1,551 at The Wilds 3 (Continental Club). Recent registered sales include:

- 3 bedroom villa, 3,548 sq ft: AED 5,190,300 (17 July 2026, The Wilds 2)
- 4 bedroom villa, 3,961 sq ft: AED 5,650,000 (29 July 2026, The Wilds 2)
- Villa of about 4,041 sq ft: AED 6,013,540 (22 September 2026, The Wilds 2)
- Villa of about 3,717 sq ft: AED 4,625,007 (21 September 2026, The Wilds 3)

The highest registered sale in the recent list was AED 53.1 million on 6 May 2026 at The Wilds 1.

## The Wilds payment plan

The villas were sold on a 65/35 plan:

1. **10% on booking**
2. **55% during construction**, in dated instalments
3. **35% on handover**, in 2029

GRAF's published schedule for first phase villas lists 15% in October 2025, then 10% each in February 2027, October 2027 and June 2028, before the 35% at handover. On a AED 5.1 million villa, about AED 1.79 million falls due at handover. The 4% DLD fee is extra.

## The Wilds developer and delivery record

Aldar Properties is Abu Dhabi's largest listed developer. The Wilds is its third Dubai community with Dubai Holding, after [Haven by Aldar](/projects/haven-by-aldar/) and [Athlon by Aldar](/projects/athlon-by-aldar/), both still under construction. Aldar said in March 2026 that it was on track to hand over more than 3,500 units across its portfolio in 2026. None of its Dubai joint venture communities has yet been handed over, so The Wilds cannot be judged against a completed Aldar project in Dubai.

## What to check before buying at The Wilds

1. **Which registration the villa is in.** The Wilds 1, 2 and 3 have completion dates four months apart.
2. **The SPA date and grace period**, given that Q2 2029 on broker pages is later than the registered dates for The Wilds 1 and 2.
3. **The remaining instalments on a resale.** A buyer taking over a first phase villa takes over the dated construction payments and the 35% handover payment.
4. **Progress at the next DLD inspection.** The Wilds 3 was 3.1% built in September 2026 with about 32 months to its registered date.
