## When will The Wilds Residences be handed over?

Aldar gives Q2 2030 for handover. The Dubai Land Department (DLD) register, where the project is filed by Aurora SPV 2, the Aldar and Dubai Holding joint venture company, holds a registered completion date of 30 June 2030 (Continental Club, registry updated 4 October 2026). The developer date and the registered date agree. One broker page, Engel & Völkers, shows Q2 2029, a year earlier than the register.

The register lists the construction start as 1 June 2026, which makes this a four year build for six buildings.

## The Wilds Residences construction update

The only DLD inspection on record, on 3 February 2026, found 0% progress. That was two weeks before the launch announcement and four months before the registered construction start. No later DLD percentage had been published by 4 October 2026. The project is DLD project number 4377, with its escrow account at First Abu Dhabi Bank.

## The Wilds Residences homes and sizes

Aldar announced six mid-rise buildings with 740 homes on 18 February 2026: 1 to 3 bedroom apartments and 2 to 3 bedroom duplexes. The DLD register lists 747 units. The buildings sit within The Wilds, a nature-themed community on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road opposite Global Village. The DLD register gives the project's own area as The Wilds.

Sizes and prices are from the Engel & Völkers price list, accessed October 2026. DLD sale records list some 1 bedrooms at about 800 sq ft (74.5 sq m), below the published "from" size, so the size basis differs between sources.

## The Wilds Residences prices and resale

Sales opened on 2 March 2026. The DLD register shows 115 sales by early October 2026, all bought from Aldar, at a median of about AED 1,791 per sq ft (Continental Club). Recent registered sales:

- 1 bedroom, about 800 to 942 sq ft: AED 1,479,900 to AED 1,755,800 (10 July to 2 October 2026)
- 2 bedroom: AED 2,480,600 to AED 2,789,600 (9 July to 2 October 2026)
- 3 bedroom: AED 3,156,654 (2 October 2026)

Sales have been slower than Aldar expected. On its Q2 2026 results call in July 2026, Aldar's management, asked about this year's sales at The Wilds, said it was "not doing well". It linked the slow pace to the timing of the launch and to competition from other apartments in the same corridor.

## The Wilds Residences payment plan

The plan is 65/35:

1. **5% on booking**
2. **60% during construction**, in instalments
3. **35% on handover**, in Q2 2030

One published schedule spreads the construction share across dates from 31 August 2026 (10%) to 30 September 2029 (5%), roughly every six months (Off Plan Properties). On a 1 bedroom at AED 1.6 million, about AED 560,000 falls due at handover. The 4% DLD fee is due at booking.

## The Wilds Residences developer and delivery record

Aldar Properties is an Abu Dhabi listed developer. The Wilds is one of three Dubai communities from its joint venture with Dubai Holding, alongside Haven and Athlon (Zawya, 18 February 2026). Aldar handed over about 850 units in 2025 and about 1,000 in the first half of 2026, and said in March 2026 it was on track to hand over more than 3,500 units in 2026. ## What to check before buying at The Wilds Residences

1. **The completion date and grace period in the SPA**, given the gap between the registered 30 June 2030 and the Q2 2029 shown on one broker page.
2. **The instalment calendar.** The construction instalments run on fixed dates, so they are due whether or not building work keeps pace.
3. **Which building and floor.** Six buildings share one registration and one completion date, but the order in which they finish may differ.
4. **Resale demand.** Aldar itself described sales as slower than expected in July 2026.
