## When will Taormina Village be handed over?

Taormina Village is registered with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) as two projects. Phase 1, filed as "Taormina Village 1" with 530 homes, has a registered completion date of 20 December 2027. Reportage has marketed a Q4 2027 handover since the launch listings of December 2023, so the developer date and the registered date agree (Property Finder; Dubai Homes Online).

Phase 2, filed as "Taormina Village 2" with 309 homes, has a registered completion date of 6 July 2029 (DLD project register via Continental Club). Broker listings for phase 2 disagree: some show a handover in Q2 2028, others Q3 2029.

## Taormina Village construction update

The DLD inspection on 3 June 2026 recorded phase 1 at 20.4% complete. The register gives a construction start of 21 December 2024, so about a fifth of the work took 18 months, and the rest has about 18 months to the registered date. DLD describes phase 1 as 530 villas of ground plus two floors and a roof, built in concrete and block (Mitchells, registry as at 4 October 2026).

Phase 2 is less advanced. DLD recorded 0% at its inspection on 5 November 2025, and the register gives a construction start of 30 June 2026. It is filed by M H L Real Estate Development, a Dubai branch of Millennium Holding, rather than the Reportage entity behind phase 1.

## Taormina Village homes and sizes

Reportage's fact sheet lists 838 homes on a plot of 148,638 sq m. The DLD register counts 839 across the two phases.

Sizes are from the price list Reportage published in 2026 (ezre). The four bedroom villa count combines 46 middle and corner villas and 2 standalone villas. DLD sale records show much smaller areas for some units, such as 853 sq ft for a 3 bedroom villa, so the area stated in the SPA is the figure to compare.

## Taormina Village prices and resale

Homes launched from AED 2.86 million in December 2023 (Propsearch; Dubai Homes Online). Property Finder records a launch price of AED 3.4 million. In 2026 Reportage published phase 1 prices from AED 3,678,126 for a 3 bedroom townhouse, AED 3,863,612 for a 4 bedroom and AED 5,756,013 for a 5 bedroom villa (ezre). Phase 2 listings run from AED 4,231,500 to about AED 4.73 million for 1,992 to 2,844 sq ft (offplans.com).

DLD recorded 269 sales in phase 1 between 31 October 2024 and 7 September 2026. The latest on that list was a 3 bedroom villa at AED 2,003,166 on 7 September 2026 (Mitchells). No sale had been registered in phase 2 by 2 October 2026.

## Taormina Village payment plan

At launch the plan was 30/70: 30% on booking and 70% on handover (Property Finder). Reportage now publishes several plans for each phase (ezre; Takween Aldar), including:

- 30% on booking and 70% on handover
- 20% on booking, 10% within a year and 70% on handover
- 10% on booking, 22% during construction and 68% on handover
- for phase 2, 10% down then 1% a month, or 4% DLD fee only on booking then 1% a month, with the rest on handover, and investor plans with larger discounts for faster payment (offplans.com)

No plan has payments after handover. On most of them, between 58% and 70% of the price falls due at completion.

## Taormina Village developer and delivery record

Reportage Properties is an Abu Dhabi developer. The DLD register lists phase 1 under Reportage Prime Properties. Reportage's nearby [Reportage Village](/projects/reportage-village/) in Dubailand shares the Q4 2027 target and had 25.04% recorded by DLD on 20 August 2026.

## What to check before buying at Taormina Village

1. **Which phase the unit is in.** Phase 1 is registered for 20 December 2027 and phase 2 for 6 July 2029, about 18 months apart.
2. **The handover balance.** Up to 70% of the price falls due at completion, so the date in the SPA drives when the largest payment is due.
3. **The developer entity in the SPA.** Phase 2 is filed by a Millennium Holding branch, not Reportage Prime Properties.
4. **Built-up area against DLD area.** Price lists and DLD records give different sizes for the same home type.
