## When will Iconic Tower be handed over?

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) register gives Iconic Tower a completion date of 28 February 2028 (DLD project register via Continental Club, inspection 11 August 2026). Mered's own project page still shows delivery in Q3 2027, and portals such as Dubainary repeat Q3 2027. The register lists the building as Iconic Tower, a single tower of 319 units in what it files as Dubai Media City. Mered markets the site as Dubai Internet City.

## Iconic Tower construction update

The DLD recorded Iconic Tower 34.86% complete at its inspection of 11 August 2026. Earlier inspections show 24.38% on 23 January 2026 and 29.03% on 30 April 2026 (Continental Club, registry updated 7 October 2026). That is about 10.5 points in six and a half months, or about 1.6 points a month. At that pace the remaining 65 points would take more than three years, well past February 2028. The pace rose slightly between April and August 2026, to about 1.7 points a month.

Construction is registered as starting on 30 September 2024. Mered and Dutch Foundation Dubai, the foundation contractor, held the groundbreaking in early April 2024 (Construction Week Online, 2 April 2024).

## Iconic Tower homes and sizes

Iconic Tower is a G+66 building about 286.4 metres tall, which Mered says will be the tallest in Dubai Internet City (Gulf News, 8 February 2024). Pininfarina, the Italian design house, designed the tower. Mered announced 311 apartments in 2024; the DLD register lists 319 units.

## Iconic Tower prices and resale

Continental Club lists prices from AED 2.5 million. The DLD has recorded 191 sales since 2023, about 1% of them resales (Continental Club, transaction registry updated 6 October 2026). Median prices paid were AED 3,480,797 for a 1 bedroom across 97 sales, AED 5,702,466 for a 2 bedroom across 74 sales, AED 8,786,657 for a 3 bedroom across 8 sales and AED 9,948,782 for a 4 bedroom across 11 sales. The overall median of AED 37,381 per sq m is about AED 3,473 per sq ft. Sales between 10 March and 30 September 2026 ranged from AED 3,297,128 for a 1 bedroom on 29 April to AED 10,550,004 for a 4 bedroom on 29 September.

## Iconic Tower payment plan

The current plan is 50/50: 5% on booking, 45% during construction and 50% on handover (Continental Club; Dubainary). Mered's 2024 version asked for the 5% booking deposit and then 20% on the SPA date, with smaller instalments after that (Mered, 9 July 2024). Half the price is due at handover, so the completion date sets when most of the money is paid. On a 1 bedroom at the AED 3.48 million median, that is about AED 1.74 million.

## Iconic Tower developer and delivery record

Mered describes itself as an international real estate developer and called Iconic Tower its flagship project when it announced the Pininfarina partnership (Gulf News, 8 February 2024). In March 2024, Mered said the main construction contract was being tendered for completion in Q4 2027 (Gulf Construction Online, 1 March 2024). The registered date is now 28 February 2028, and Mered's website still shows Q3 2027.

## What to check before buying at Iconic Tower

1. **The SPA completion date**, against the registered 28 February 2028 and Mered's advertised Q3 2027.
2. **The next DLD inspection.** At 1.6 points a month the tower runs late; a reading well above 40% by late 2026 would show faster progress.
3. **The 50% handover payment**, and whether a mortgage can be arranged for that amount at completion.
4. **The service charge.** Dubainary lists a published AED 25 per sq ft, which is an estimate until a RERA budget is set after handover.
