## When will Dubai Creek Harbour be handed over?

There is no single handover date, because the community is built out tower by tower across several districts. Some phases are already complete and others are still being built or sold off-plan.

Dubai Creek Tower has the longest running delay. Construction was halted in 2020 and the design was reworked more than once. In January 2026, Emaar chairman Mohamed Alabbar said a construction tender would be offered within three months. As of September 2026, no tender had been announced.

## What is the payment plan?

Emaar has not published one payment plan for the whole community. Plans are set tower by tower. Real Estate Club Dubai reports an 80/20 plan at Emaar Green Gate, with entry prices from about AED 1.81 million for a one bedroom unit, but this has not been confirmed directly by Emaar. Check the plan for your specific tower before booking.

## Who is the developer and what is its handover record?

Emaar Properties has developed Dubai Creek Harbour since the masterplan was revised in 2013, after an earlier concept in 2006. It ran the project as a joint venture with Dubai Holding before buying out that partner's stake in August 2022, for about AED 8 billion, to take full ownership. The masterplan covers about 6 million square metres and allows for 20,126 residential and 896 commercial units.

## What to check before booking

1. **The exact tower or phase**, not the community name. Handover dates at Dubai Creek Harbour range from already complete to 2030.
2. **Whether your tower's payment plan has been confirmed by Emaar**, since terms such as 80/20 reported for Emaar Green Gate come from a third party, not an Emaar announcement.
3. **The DLD project status** for your specific building, through Dubai Land Department's project status enquiry service.
4. **Progress on Dubai Creek Tower** if it affects your view or timeline expectations, since its construction tender had still not been announced as of September 2026.
