## When was DAMAC Lagoons Costa Brava handed over?

Costa Brava is a Spanish-themed cluster of [DAMAC Lagoons](/projects/damac-lagoons/), the community opposite DAMAC Hills in Dubailand. DAMAC launched it in February 2022 as the second phase of the community. In June 2022 it appointed Pivot as main contractor on an AED 618 million contract for the first 976 townhouses (DAMAC via Zawya, 28 June 2022).

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) registers Costa Brava in two phases. Both are now recorded as finished:

The registered completion date for both phases was 29 July 2025. Costa Brava 1 finished about eight months after that date and Costa Brava 2 about a year after it. Some property portals had reported Costa Brava as handed over in Q3 to Q4 2025. The DLD dates above are later.

Costa Brava has 3, 4 and 5 bedroom townhouses and 6 bedroom villas, built as ground plus one or ground plus two homes. Costa Brava 2 has 470 townhouses and 27 villas.

Property Finder's average asking rent in Costa Brava was AED 164,993 a year over the 12 months to September 2026, across 678 listings, with a gross rental yield of 5.4%. Property Finder does not split this figure by bedroom count.

## DAMAC Lagoons Costa Brava payment plan

Property Finder records the Costa Brava 2 launch plan as 20% on booking, 60% during construction and 20% at handover. Launch adverts in 2022 also showed a 50/50 option. DAMAC no longer has stock in the cluster, so buyers today pay a resale price in cash or with a mortgage, plus the 4% DLD transfer fee.

## What to check before buying at DAMAC Lagoons Costa Brava

1. **Which phase the home is in.** Costa Brava 2 only finished on 4 August 2026, so some owners may still be waiting for keys or title deeds.
2. **The title deed** in the seller's name, or the developer's NOC if the deed has not yet been issued.
3. **The service charge.** No rate for Costa Brava was listed on the DLD service charge index as of September 2026 (PropertyStellar, 12 Sep 2026).
4. **The snagging record** and any open defects claims under the developer's warranty.
5. **Recent DLD sales for the same layout and plot size**, since end units and larger plots sell for more.
